Everything I said in my previous Best Exercise video on using a POGO stick is still relevant, HOWEVER- I love science and I have been investigating HIIT (high intensity interval training) for about 10 years or more. What I have found is that most people and most YouTube videos on HIIT are totally WRONG. They are wrong simply because the exercise programs they are showing you ARE NOT HIIT.
Understand what I am now going to write:
If you tell someone how long, or how many reps they should do of a specific exercise THEN IT IS NOT GOING TO BE HIIT. WHY?
Because in order for an exercise to correctly be classified as HIIT, you must not do the exercise for a specific amount of time or reps. That is NOT HIIT. In order for it to be HIIT, you must do each exercise until YOU CAN”T DO IT ANY MORE (to muscle failure). You have so fatigued the muscle group(s) you are using, that you could not do another rep if someone had a gun pointing at you. I have started doing HIIT on June 27th 2020 using the same LIFELINEFITNESS resistance bands that Dr Ben is using in his videos on my web site. What I did, was to take one of his HIIT YouTube videos and edit out some of the discussion between the exercises so that I could play it in my office, while I follow along doing the same exercises. If you want to watch his longer video with full explanations instead of my edited exercise video, it is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHyiFcws9AI&t=4s
