This is a good and very accurate explanation of why, in the State of California, some individuals with the right to carry a concealed handgun, might very possibly NOT help protect others from being killed, unless their own life or the life of a loved one is also being threatened.
I have read a great deal about these laws and many cases in which the “good guy’s” life was destroyed just as he describes. These laws really need to be changed to protect good Samaritans so that they would be more willing to help others, as they would be in most other states where their Good Samaritan actions are protected.
